President Donald Trump initiated Operation Warp Speed two years ago this month to fast-track the manufacturing of so-called COVID vaccines. It’s unclear if Trump foresaw the government overreach that would ensue, but now he’s calling on politicians to dial it back and end all COVID mandates. Church Militant’s Kim Tisor has more.
Pres. Donald Trump: “We will pass a bill making it illegal for any employer to interfere in personal health decisions or to fire employees for not having the vaccine.”
President Trump spoke Saturday night during a campaign rally in North Carolina. There, he assured the crowd Republicans will take back Congress in the midterms and reinstate America’s medical freedoms.
President Trump: “One of the first things that we will do with our new Republican majority is to end every last COVID mandate. They’re still around, if you can believe it.”
And there are plenty of mandates still around:
- Sunday, L.A. firefighters marched in protest of vax mandates that would axe 7,000 noncompliant first responders
- Mandates once again threaten the livelihoods of millions of federal employees; Thursday, an appeals court reinstated the jab mandate Biden imposed on government workers last September; and elsewhere,
- Universities are resurrecting masks for students despite science opposing their use
With Democrats working furiously to maintain mandates, perhaps the only thing to slow them would be the red wave that Trump and others are predicting for November.
At Saturday’s rally, Trump also slammed the “government-run education system” for replacing reading and math with woke gender studies.
