TRANSCRIPT

The popular religious sister known as Mother Miriam is now home in the diocese of Salina, Kansas.

Her small community of Benedictine sisters, the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope, ministers chiefly to families and marriages.

Mother Miriam: “We want to be handmaids of the family, primarily to help the faith be lived at home and to help parents not be afraid to parent.”

After searching for the right place to settle down, Bp. Jerry Vincke accepted her community with enthusiasm. There, they will continue their work bringing hope to a broken world.

Mother Miriam: “God has provided our every need and He will continue to.”

Called direct by some and sassy by others, Mother Miriam has a fascinating past as well as a bright future. She grew up in New York as Rosalind Moss, a Jewish girl whose family celebrated Passover every year, awaiting their Messiah.

Two events led young Rosalind on her way to conversion, first to Evangelical Protestantism and then to the fullness of the faith in Catholicism.

Mother Miriam: “It is the fulfillment of Judaism and the full measure of Christianity … I knew I could perish on the spot, because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was being placed on my tongue.”

Since becoming Catholic, Miriam worked as an apologist for Catholic Answers, explaining and defending the faith. She also hosted the radio show Heart to Heart and then Mother Miriam Live on the Station of the Cross Network, always adding her unique experience as a Jewish convert who found her Messiah in Jesus Christ.

Miriam is on top of the issues and movements in the greater society. She recently expressed righteous indignation at the Democrat agenda.

Mother Miriam: “Sixty million abortions … We are massacring more innocent today than ever were massacred in our Lord’s day, and that died from every holocaust. It’s just evil blanketing the world.”

Miriam also had some choice words for the American bishops.

Mother Miriam: “They have abandoned the Faith, they’ve abandoned their vocations, they’ve abandoned the sheep … I am so ashamed of how the Catholic Church, through them, has been represented.”

Mother Miriam, once a little Jewish girl like Christ’s Mother, now understands the state of the Church and courageously leads the world to Christ.
