As Western society regresses, God’s laws are being relegated to the realm of private opinion in once-Catholic nations that have abandoned the Faith.
Studies from the last few years reveal the youngest generation, labeled “Generation Z” or Zoomers, are abandoning Judeo-Christian morality at an alarming rate.
A Wall Street Journal poll taken in August reveals Zoomers and Millennials care less about patriotism, religion and having children than older generations.
The much-maligned Boomer generation bears responsibility for tossing out much of the goodness entrusted to them by the previous generation. We see this most evidently in the variety of Masses at parishes across the West.
It’s a fact that in the last 50 years, you could attend Mass at one parish and it would be different from a Mass celebrated at a neighboring parish. Some have Protestant praise and worship music, Broadway piano plinking, or a folk choir with a grey-haired guitarist strumming away.
Evident is the normalization of liturgical abuses, such as allowing Holy Communion in the hand — and no, the Church didn’t actually allow it. It originated by deceitfully obtaining permission from Rome and was maintained by bishops failing to follow a set of conditions promulgated by Pope Paul VI.
The bishops have closed thousands of parishes owing to Mass attendance tanking. Many bishops claim “what we did before didn’t work,” but they then implement more of the same weak-sauce efforts that brought the Church to this current situation in the first place.

But the authorities in the Catholic Church, for the most part, don’t admit they have failed. This isn’t a simple failure of action this year or last year, or even the last decade. It is a decades-long failure to give true witness to the greatness of the Catholic Church.
A reckoning needs to happen in the Church. But when evil, worldly men also wear the mantle of authority, reform seems impossible.
Our Lady, however, promised that in the end, Her Immaculate Heart would triumph. As the evil in the world becomes ever more apparent, the faithful wait for Mary’s victory when they will hear the prophetic skulls of demons crush beneath Her foot.
