The pontificate of Paul VI was indeed remarkable. It became famous in the history of the Catholic Church when the publication of the encyclical Humanae Vitae, a pontifical teaching, closed once and for all the debate on artificial contraception.

Nevertheless, instead of welcoming its clarification for the good of the Christian family and the virtue of chastity, most Catholics, including bishops and priests, simply ignored its teachings.

‘Synodality’ Destroys the Family

This rejection happened more specifically in Canada. The “Canadian Church” (it was the Church in Canada in the old days) inaugurated “synodality” and reflected new ways of supposedly ministering Catholicism, which have remained commonplace to this today.

For all practical purposes, contraception became a matter of individual conscience or rather individual preference.

Spiritual leaders ignored that for a conscience to be well-formed it must first be informed. Most bishops and priests preferred to leave the people ignorant rather than talk about its moral ramifications. In a word, ecclesiastical relativism, or clericalism, thus reigned supreme.

But synodality is not a post-Vatican II novelty inaugurated by Pope Francis. Not at all. The Apostles of Jesus also practiced episcopal collegiality in His time, when they acted together, not allowing any divisions among them. It happened when they were with Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. That was the first act of episcopal collegiality in the history of the Church; the bishops left together, leaving Jesus alone at the mercy of the soldiers.

Another act of synodality or episcopal collegiality happened in England when the whole bishops’ conference — all except one, St. John Fisher — left the Church of Rome to follow a king of lust and pride. They also acted together.

But three years after the council of Vatican II, the majority of bishops in the world simply ignored the teaching of Humanae Vitae and went on with their business of keeping silent about the harm done to the family by contraception.

The Christian family is being gradually destroyed.

Like John the Baptist, Pope Paul VI was a lone voice calling in the wilderness, trying to make straight the way of the Lord. But most bishops of the world were deaf to his calling and kept the way of the Lord hopelessly crooked.

Today we see the results of the bishops’ sinful silence on contraception after the council: The Christian family is being gradually destroyed. Without good families, vocations to the priesthood and the religious life are in short supply, to put it mildly, and Catholics leave the practice of the Faith in herds.

The U.S. bishops’ document on the Eucharist won’t cite politicians for sacrilege

It is no wonder the same pope declared the smoke of Satan had entered the Church, and She is going through a process of self-demolition. Indeed.

‘Synodality’ Kills Eucharistic Reverence

A Pew Survey carried out last year revealed roughly 70% of Catholics in America no longer believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. It’s another major marker as the smoke of Satan continues its infusion to destroy the Church.

It is a catastrophic reality that many of the so-called new evangelization efforts carried out in America to this day have completely failed — and failed miserably. If 1% of Catholics did not believe in the Real Presence, it would be bad enough, but 70% is absolutely unacceptable, unjustifiable, absurd!

Fake Catholics Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry

Should one wonder that many so-called Catholics — be they laity, bishops and priests — support giving the Eucharist to the likes of the infamous pro-child-killing Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or John Kerry?

Since they appear to see the Eucharist as only a piece of bread — or holy bread, if you will — is there any problem in giving it to politicians who have publicly and for decades supported the murder of innocent babies? Isn’t the holy bread supposed to be just a “symbol of Christ in our faith communities?

If so, then 70% of Catholics in America are gradually becoming Protestants, who do not believe in the Real Presence. Martin Luther and John Calvin must be enjoying a boisterous laugh now if there is laughter in the place where they find themselves, wherever it may be.

But no! The Tradition of the early Fathers, based on Sacred Scripture and the Magisterium of the Church has clearly and consistently affirmed for 2,000 years: The Holy Eucharist in our sacred tabernacles is the Real Presence of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

St. Paul: Receiving to Damnation

Fake “Catholic” politicians, who support the murder of innocent children, whose body parts are sometimes harvested and sold, are not only partners of a genocidal crime of apocalyptic proportions that would make Adolf Hitler blush, but they also commit a heinous sacrilege!

And those bishops and priests who give them Holy Communion do so at their own peril: They know (or should know) St. Paul’s teaching: “Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks to himself damnation” (1 Corinthians 11:27–29).

He speaks of damnation! Was St. Paul, too “conservative,” or too “dogmatic” or perhaps too “rigid” and “divisive”? No! He was faithful to the teachings of Christ, purely and simply. He reflected the mind of Christ our Lord, contrary to many bishops and priests today, who reflect the mind of Judas Iscariot. Judas was so politically correct that he struck deals with the enemies of Christ, just as Cdl. Parolin has done with the Chinese Communist Party.

Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His teaching is as true and valid in apostolic times as it is today: Code 915 of the Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church is consistent with St. Paul’s teaching, and explicitly forbids the sacrilegious reception of the Eucharist.

So, the politically correct “pastoral” practices of some bishops and priests will be their condemnation if they do not repent and do penance, together with the fake-Catholic politicians.

‘Medicine for the Weak’: Confession

Pope Francis has been widely quoted as saying that “Communion should be viewed not as a prize for the perfect, but as a powerful medicine and nourishment for the weak.” This statement introduces a dangerous ambiguity, as it ignores that holy Communion is the nourishment for the weak, yes, but the weak who are in state of grace, and who want to grow in perfection. The nourishment and medicine for the weak who are in a state of sin is another sacrament — confession — with the determination not to sin again, not Holy Communion.

To say that Communion “should be viewed” seems more like a recommendation, a suggestion, advice, counsel — instead of a clear affirmation of the purpose of Holy Communion. When you take a text outside of the context, it becomes a pretext for justifying sacrilege — a fallacy that leads many into error and sin.

Is Pope Francis implying that St. Paul was dead wrong in his condemnation of sacrilege in 1 Corinthians 11? Are we to accept that two millennia of consistent Catholic teaching also have been wrong, and only a simple, candid sentence said in passing by Pope Francis must be considered true, as if everything we have been taught could be changed at the drop of a hat? No, not really. The individual opinion of a given pope is never enough to override 2,000 years of safeguarded truth.
