The 2020 election will be remembered as the most decisive moment for the American experiment in self-governance. The first peril was the Revolutionary war. Against impossible odds, Americans managed to cut their ties to the British Empire, the only military superpower in the world at the time. As the years went by, a second peril emerged. The US was a vast country with enemies foreign and domestic that threatened the stability and permanence of the Republic. The Civil War inaugurated a string of conflicts that the young country had to fight almost alone at great sacrifice of lives and treasure: the Mexican War, the Spanish War, and two World Wars took U.S. military forces all over the world stressing its economy almost to the breaking point. While facing those dangers, the country managed to be a force for good in the world while struggling to keep its tradition of self-governance and peaceful transfer of power between administrations. Few realize the significance of those achievements. The industriousness, productivity, and ingenuity of the American people has been acknowledged even by the country’s enemies during its short existence of less than three centuries, a brief time when compared with other countries who can boast of a thousand years or more of history. American success always was looked upon with admiration but also with envy and resentment by many. After the Cold War ended during the Reagan administration, a third peril gradually emerged. Trouble was festering under the surface since the first half of the 20th century but few noticed. In that moment when the tensions of the Cold War began to relax, the new wave of perils, nastier and much more poisonous than a nuclear war with the USSR, began to take shape.
I believe the US suffered the same kind of aggressive infiltration that affected other countries worldwide. Ever since the times of the German Reformation a criminal enterprise with a thousand faces began to take shape. In time the French Revolution came and then also Marxism. By 1917 Russia was Communist and the Liberal Europe born after the Reformation began shifting left (and also right) into various forms of Socialism. A seldom quoted Spanish intellectual, Juan Donoso Cortés, a member of the Spanish nobility, predicted quite accurately in the early 1800’s that European Liberalism was going to gradually move into Socialism, then into Communism, to eventually end in Anarchy.
The history of the United States of America, founded on the principles of the early form of Liberalism proves that prophecy correct. For the last century or so, the country has transformed itself gradually into something that would be unrecognizable to the American Founding Fathers. The US Presidential Election of 2020 is a moment in which domestic enemies of the American experiment seemed to have managed to engineer a political putsch thinly disguised as a democratic election.
According to the pre-election polls, Donald Trump was supposed to lose by a wide margin. That in spite of massive rallies supporting incumbent President Trump. Challenger Biden was unable to get but a small bunch to attend the event launching his campaign, had no massive rallies to speak of, and had a surprisingly low number of hits to show for his Internet discourses not to mention a cloud of scandals and verbal blunders that seem to follow him everywhere. One example is candidate Biden candid confession before television cameras: “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics,” a shocking statement that remained purposely unnoticed by a highly partisan and complicit mainstream media, and by the moguls controlling social media platforms most of whom where in bed with the Democratic Party candidate.
I am not going to analyze the election here. It has been done and continues being done by much brighter heads. Personally, I like this rather jocular but accurate description by Canadian journalist-turned-blogger David Warren:
“Trump failed to win beyond the margin of fraud, and so his vote is being cancelled in the citadels of political corruption: cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, &c, where massive ballot-drops (approximately 100 percent Biden) can be performed, and protected by unambiguously Democrat-serving judges as the Republican lawsuits pile in. The media howl, that opposing fraud is “undemocratic,” and as one wit observed, this won’t be over until 131 percent of the vote has been counted.”
I could complete the picture by adding that since Brexit, one can clearly see a combination of actors emerging from the depths like a sort of apocalyptic beast: rogue national intelligence agencies, social media controllers, financial industry bosses dishing money out to selected fringe groups; all of them with a common political agenda held together mainly by the mortar of anti-Christianity, pro-sexual immorality, abortion, elimination of the middle class, and hostility to anything characteristic of that old thing we once called “the Western World,” (a label that is nothing more than a euphemism for what it used to be, in happier and nobler times, Christendom.)
That cadre seems to be well on its way to control the world. It is a stupid errand because the world is unconquerable. Should one agree to pay the price (one’s soul) one can have the world but not enjoy it. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Ask Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Attila, Hitler, Stalin, and others.

Accepting the devil’s offer implies losing one’s soul to the fires of Hell for eternity. The deal is rather unattractive if you ask me but our new class of plutocrats and technocrats tend not to be familiar with Christian theology. Those are presently diving headlong into the lake of fire while the gun-totting, Constitution quoting, Bible thumping, anti-abortion, Rosary clutching “great unwashed” seem to have found a Moses who will lead them to a Promised Land where one does not have to be an Ivy League graduate to be appreciated. Stuck between two coasts, the muscular, ingenious, brave and free Americans survive completely indifferent to the techno-financial-academic elites living in thick clouds of their own flatulence just like the devil does.
Donald Trump talked to the real Americans in ways they could understand. The People returned the favor by showing up en masse to vote for him. I firmly believe that a close examination of the vote will deliver the Presidency to Donald Trump. The evidence of fraud is overwhelming. This truly stinks to high heaven and convicts the body politic, media, academia, and the shady financiers of the Left.
One detail that surely President Trump did not ignore is the matter of the 50 state legislatures where the Democrats failed to pick a single seat. Those are the same legislatures that –if the US Constitution is followed to the letter– will select the members of the Electoral College who actually represent the citizens of their state and vote to elect the President. Donald Trump may have seen this situation coming but the Founding Fathers saw it more than 200 years earlier when they instituted the nation and sent it into history.
The world is watching America face its third and most extraordinary peril. May God guide the US back to its former glory: One Nation, Under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
